G.O.M. – Records is a association created by two Heavy Metal fans (Sylvie and Holger) who wish to promote this kind of music in France and outside. We’ve done this two times before under the Flag of the Guiardians of Metal but now we’ve decided to do more than one concert in the future. For that we create this G.O.M. – Records organization. We’re both (Sylvie and Holger) are not willing to see this brilliant music dying. We also like to help our local music scene and smaller Bands to get a platform to play live shows in and out of France and sell her CD’s via WEB direct to you, the true Metal – Fans all around the world. What's the problem with Heavy Metal in France and outside…?? Not the fans ?, there’s more than one problem… it would be a bit too easy to point out the lack of fans, because it's not the truth. We're a certain number, most likely scattered, but new technologies can bring the fans together. In this case we also create the G.O.M. – Records CD/LP – Shop. This shop will handle some new CD’s and Records and also some Rarities where bring our Music direct to the Fans. You don’t need longer to pay extra costs for shipping from outside from France…now we’re here to do fair pricing and bring back the spirit of our Music. In the beginning there was nothing and everything was growing to fast…now good 23 years later is it time to think of the god old times and go back to the ROOTS. Money ? Sure money can't buy happiness and idealistic visions what we’ve , but also causes hardship when it runs out. How many times we’ve heard musicians complaining of the lack of financial support? 1. « we have some songs, but to record an album is just too expensive » - Sent us your Demo and we try to help to find a labal etc. 2. « we have an album, but no promotion » - We’ve good contacts to Metal-Papers in Germany and France 3. « we have a demo but no-one would count on us » - We do Gigs for pure idealistic reasons and give so much money to the Bands as possible and will also check out that this Gig was not the last with us together. We also plan to do a Festival in a bigger venue one time the year. Here we like to announce on bigger Headliner and than 3-4 Bands from France or rest of Europe to come in the position to play in the “La Laiterie” in Strasbourg of the Main-Stage. This Stage is legendary and it’s much frequented from international Acts Money is the sinew of war and that's why G.O.M. – Records hopes to apply this very simple idea. We haven't invented anything new but we wish it would be applied more often in the Heavy Metal circle in France. One often talks about brotherhood in Metal, so why not bring this idea to another level? Let's say, the "technical" level. According to the law we are a non-profit-making organization, but that does not mean we mustn't earn money. No, it means that we have to reinvest money in a definite time to promote Heavy Metal and also to release maybe CD’s under the Flag of G.O.M. – Records and do distribution. This is our goal to finance promotional operations for bands without any record company or together with our cooperation partners Brennus Music France and BattleCry Records Germany to support or work together with promotion company’s outside from France. In a few words, to help those who make Heavy Metal, because it's obvious that there's a bunch of talents in France and in Europe and outside Europe that will it worth to invest our time and money. We’ve seen so many Bands in France and rest of Europe where has not the financial support to go outside of her Country. In this case we’re now in the position to support all of u (or the most) and will continue the spirit and the idealistic idea to keep this music alive ... Therefore we hope to change this situation in the long term and count of your support to visit our Club-Shows and maybe buy one or two CD’s or Records in our Mailorder Shop to help this Bands and our organization to survive.
